I bought this for my 8 year old, and she and my 5-year old both love it. They like to play the music just aloud, and also to try to learn to play the keys - they are just starting out, so I felt the lighted keys were essential. The best thing so far is the quality of the sound - which seems to be top of the line - it sounds GREAT. We haven't had time to play much yet, so I don't know about how the lessons work yet, but I do think this is exceptional for the price, and even without the low price consideration - sound is great, and lighted keys, and modern-looking.
